Windows users
- 1. Installing a driver software
- If you use the UD-501 with a Windows computer, it is essential to install driver software. Please visit download page to download a windows driver software.
- 2. Installing an audio player
- TEAC also provides a high-resolution audio player for Windows.

Macintosh users

- If you use the UD-501 with a Macintosh computer, you don't need to install driver software.

Other compatible audio players
You can use the UD-501 with any application that plays audio on your Mac or Windows computer, such as Windows Media Player or Apple iTunes. To play high-resolution audio, however, you will need specialised software. You will also need to install the driver on Windows, available here. (Mac OS X sees the device without a driver.)
